Manchester School of Dance

Policies
1. Classes will be canceled, according to the Manchester City School for weather conditions or power outages. No refunds for canceled classes. Payment remains the same regardless of how many lessons taken per month.
2. The teacher reserves the right to cancel a class due to sickness, training, or family emergency. Also, if the child is sick or if there’s emergency in the family. Payment remains the same regardless of how many lessons taken per month.
3. All fees are nonrefundable, regardless of a cancelled class. A $25 fee will be assessed for insufficient checks. Payments are due by the FIRST of each month. A $15 late fee will be charged if payment isn’t made the second week of the month. PAYMENT MADE out to Kalinda Clippard.
4. We’re not responsible for anything lost or stolen. Please make sure your students initials are in permanent marker inside their shoes so we can get them back to you if they are lost.
5. Parents, family, or friends are not allowed to sit and watch in their dance room during class time. Parents will be notified by teacher if it is an ‘open class’ day. Parents can wait in the hallway while their child is in dance class.

6. Dancers must be dropped off and picked up in a timely manner. Students will not be able to leave the building once their class is over. Manchester School of Dance does not assume any liability for the safety and well-being of our patrons. All dance students are dismissed at the studio door and are not allowed to find their parents in the hallway and parking lot. Please be at the door when your student(s) class ends so he/she is given directly to you.
7. There will be additional costs for various items throughout the year for spring recital. We will start learning our dance recital in January. There will be a $40 deposit fee for recital in the spring due first week of January classes.
8. Not all students may be eligible for recital. The teacher will notify you if he/she is eligible/not eligible before ordering costumes in January. Attending as many classes as possible is very important but does not guarantee they will be ready. Outside of normal bathroom breaks or important needs staying in class is very important. Please encourage your children to stay in class so they can learn.
9. There will be age-appropriated music played in classes.
10. The teacher has the right to cancel a class if there is a minimal number of students and adjust the teaching schedule as needed.

11. Communication to parents will mostly be through Remind app (you don’t need app to receive messages, you just need code), and printed handouts sometimes.
12. Rewards for students is stickers when listening and participating in class time the whole time.
13. Any issue with another parent or child, please bring it to my attention before or after class. PLEASE DO NOT use inappropriate language or mannerisms in front of the children during class.
